Bahco P280-SL-80 Heavy Duty Bypass Lopper

The Bahco P280-SL-80 Heavy Duty Bypass Lopper is used to cut strong branches, along with cutting live and dead wood, in many landscaping activities.

The lopper measures 31.5" (80cm) and is made of super-light aluminum to reduce weight, making your cutting much easier and faster. Included on this lopper are rubber buffers, which relieve the shock on the user's wrists and forearms.

The P280-SL-80 is Bahco's newest lopper and features a lever cutting action system, which makes cutting up to 50% easier and faster. The lopper has a short and thick blade that is designed to stand up to extreme stress. The deep counterblade can be used to catch strong branches. The counterblade's hook shape allows a large cutting diameter and holds the branch steady while cutting. The cutting blade slides past the counterblade in a scissor action, hence the term "bypass". The pivot bolt is offset from the natural center-line. This design creates a slicing motion while cutting, which assists in pruning live wood. This spreads the wear over a larger area of the blade increasing its life.

NOTE: The P280-SL-80 is a direct replacement for the Bahco P180-70 lopper.
